Teignmouth Property | The Curlews
Our first-ever photoshoot in Devon, and what a fabulous property it was!
This elevated gem, with breathtaking views across Teignmouth Bay, can accommodate up to 16 guests. The Curlews is designed in an upside-down style, featuring two bedrooms (one with an ensuite) on the lower floor accessible from the grand entrance.
Ascend the turning staircase to the main floor, where you’ll find three more bedrooms (one with an ensuite), a family bathroom, and a sensational dining/kitchen/living area that opens onto an outdoor decking area. An upstairs sunroom leads out to a tiered deck with a seating area and a hydrotherapy hot tub.
Being our first photo-stage project, we learned a lot, including the necessary pre-photoshoot organisation, effective collaboration with the photographer, and how to adapt to ensure the images serve multiple purposes – for the client, end user, management agency, photographer, and our portfolio.
Key takeaways from the project included:
• Understanding what works and what doesn’t in staging.
• Being flexible in our approach and having backup plans.
• Using our imagination to enhance a fully furnished property with small touches and crisp edges.
We were blessed with beautiful weather, making the staging of the outdoor areas particularly enjoyable.
From this first photoshoot, we also realised that elevated properties often come with a large number of steps. Fortunately, we had organised all our kits per room, which made transporting everything much easier.
The experience was highly rewarding, and the team felt a great sense of achievement upon completing the project. Afterwards, we spent time discussing potential improvements and what we might do differently next time. We were all excitedly waiting for the photographs to arrive in our inboxes, eager to see the results of our hard work. We believe you’ll agree that the property looks fabulous – a beautiful house ready to welcome holiday guests.
