Dartmouth Property | Little Redlap
Nestled into the stunning location of Dartmouth, stands Little Redlap, an impressive holiday rental.
Access through the town is tight and we were lost on several occasions on the way due to some roadworks but when we arrived, this beautiful grand house didn’t disappoint. Walking through the large front doors, the room ahead opens out to a full height full length bi-fold glass window with stunning views out across the garden and views beyond.
The dining table dominates the room with this view as it’s backdrop in the open plan kitchen and snug area behind. This L- shaped kitchen was impressive on its own but the views definitely overpower the whole room and drawer your eye towards them from every angle. The house is spread across four floors floors with a gym, shower room and store on the lower level.
The ground floor consists of the open plan kitchen/dining/ snug area leading through to a long hallway running the length of the house. Along this hallway sits the main dining / living room and study beyond, there are also two bathrooms. All rooms are surrounding the grand staircase running up to the first floor where similar to the ground floor layout, you will find 4 bedrooms and 2 further bathrooms. Up another set of stairs to the fourth floor, your will find at the top of the house another beautiful bedroom with ensuite.
Like many of the homes we have worked on, this property is a family-owned home which is used as a holiday rental whilst the family are away and the house offers a real home from home experience with some real added luxury.
The beautifully designed house offers a fantastic base for a large group within a stunning semi-rural location but close to the local amenities of this coastal town.
With this project, we decided for me to go it alone and Stage the property with just myself and the photographer. I would say I totally underestimated the scale of the property and really did work my socks off. For such a large property, there is a considerable amount of kit required and a large amount of carrying, moving, arranging then all over again several times to ensure you create the perfect shots with the right items. But although it was a serious amount of work for one person, as always I was determined to get everything just right. Have I learned from this experience…Absolutely! With Staging a home, you really do need a team of people. Not only for the manual labour side of things but also as a sounding board for ideas of how your can create the right feel and atmosphere for a room. As they say – Two eyes are better than one and it has confirmed that bringing our team on all projects is an absolute must.
Having said this, the end results were spectacular, and the photographs produced really do showcase this property in its full beauty.
A property I personal will remember for a long time, for its beauty, for its shear size and for the sore feet I had by the end of the day! Its was such a pleasure having this opportunity, we as a team have learned that no job can be done completely alone and this house really gave us some great direction for how we as a business wish to operate going forward.
